The Mousetrap Foundation

The Mousetrap Foundation
The Mousetrap Foundation is a theatre education charity dedicated to providing opportunities for young people to attend West End productions. The diverse theatre programmes it offers are aimed at youth who, due to limited resources access and support, are unlikely to have experienced London's world-class theatre. It currently offers the following opportunities for teachers:

C145 - This is a new programme to encourage 16-19 year olds to overcome the barriers of independent theatregoing by offering them a selection of new productions complimented by social events that have been recommended by peer mentors.

Write Now - Developed in partnership with the Donmar Warehouse, this is a playwriting programme for A-Level students offering them the opportunity to see their final work in a staged reading with professional actors, critiqued by a panel of directors and playwrights.

Play the Critic - Run collaboratively with East-Side Educational Trust and the Critics' Circle, this helps develop students' critical thinking and writing skills by teaching them how to review a West End production of their choice using professional theatre critics as tutors.
